The aims of the Newe Ya'ar Research Center are to advance the sustainability and profitability of regional and national agriculture. The research activities are conducted within eight sections: Aromatic and Medicinal Plants; Beef Cattle; Cucurbits and Molecular Genetics; Entomology and Biological Control; Environmental Horticulture; Pomology; Soil, Water and Environment; and Weed Science. A model farm is currently being established at Newe Ya'ar Research Center, aiming to test, develop and demonstrate sustainable agricultural practices.
